About us

“You've got to have hope.
You've got to have faith.”

That's true wherever a lottery draw happens, in any country, on any night. We're not here to talk anyone out of it. We just want to be honest about what's actually knowable underneath it.

This isn't a system, and we're not fortune tellers. Nobody can predict a lottery draw, us included. What we actually do is look closely at real draw history, its shapes, its streaks, its frequency, and report what we find honestly. The numbers are exactly as unpredictable after we've studied them as they were before.

What we do

We are an independent, unofficial site, and at heart a number generator: you pick a shape, it gives you numbers that fit.

We do not sell tickets, run draws or handle money. There is nothing to buy here. When you want to play, we link you to the official operator and you deal with them directly.

Around the generator sits the rest of it. Results for the four biggest Australian games and the six overseas games Australians can play. A look at what the numbers have actually done. A simulator that replays a set of numbers through every real draw on file. A few write-ups. And a section on Australia's charity lotteries, where the number of tickets is capped, so the odds can actually be worked out when the operator publishes the cap.

More than picking numbers

There's a whole side of the site that has nothing to do with lottery numbers at all. A daily arcade of word games, logic puzzles and quick strategy games, built for a few minutes of genuine mental exercise, the same idea behind any good brain-training app. A spinning wheel, and a fortune cookie which we know sits oddly on a site that just told you we are not fortune tellers. It is a biscuit with a joke in it, not a forecast. A site about lottery night should be fun to visit in its own right.

Why this exists

Every number generator we tried did the same thing. Press a button, get six random numbers. Press it again, get six more. There was never a reason to prefer one set to another.

So we looked at the draws themselves. Every draw has a shape: how many odd, how many even, how many from the low half and how many from the high. It is a real, visible property, and you can have a preference about it the same way you might have a favourite number.

We could not find a generator that let you choose one, so we built ours. It does not improve anyone's odds and we would never say it did. It is just a more interesting way to choose six numbers, and a nicer thing to think about while you wait for Saturday night.

Why we look at the numbers

Real draws do have shapes. Some odd and even splits turn up more often than others, purely because of the maths: there are more ways to build a 4 odd, 3 even draw than a 7 odd one. Look at a run of draws and you will see clumps and streaks. That is not an illusion. It is what randomness looks like up close.

Why 90 draws, and not thirty years. Because a lottery is random, and the longer you look the more that randomness drowns everything out. Stretch the window far enough and every shape converges on the same flat average, which is correct and also tells you nothing. Ninety draws is long enough to be a real record and short enough that the shapes are still visible. That is the whole reason for the number.

Each mix gets a plain name so you can talk about it: a Scorcher for one that has turned up in more than a fifth of the last 90 draws, Straight Down the Line between a fifteenth and a fifth, and Brass Monkeys for the rare end. Those percentages are counted from the 90 real draws and nothing else, and the house rules are on Statistics Explained.

None of it tells you what is coming next, and we say so every time we show you a number.

Real data, not a shortcut

Some sites sell "AI-picked" numbers or systems that claim to beat the draw. Nothing beats a random draw, and we have tested that ourselves rather than just asserting it. We also check our own draw history against the statistics of genuine randomness before publishing it, because invented data gives itself away if you look closely enough, and we would rather find that than have you find it.

What we don't do

Predict draws, sell tickets, run draws, take payments, or claim any system beats a random one, because none does, ours included. Every number carries exactly the same odds as every other, before and after we've looked at it. Play happens directly between you and the official operator, always.

Our promise

Free to you, always. No account, no subscription, and nothing on this site will ever cost you a cent. We will tell you what a number does and does not mean, we will not dress a coincidence up as a system, and when we do not know something we will say so. Set a budget, enjoy the ritual, and dream a little on draw night.
