1. What this is
Southern Barrel is an independent, unofficial website that offers number generators, statistics, a ticket checker, a simulator, information on Australian charity lotteries, and a small arcade of free games. It covers four Australian lottery games and six international games sold to Australians by a licensed operator. It is provided free of charge, for entertainment and informational purposes.
2. What this isn't
We are not a lottery operator, agent, reseller, or licensee. We do not sell tickets, run draws, hold prize pools, process payments, or accept wagers of any kind. No lottery operator endorses, sponsors or approves this site, and we are not any operator's agent or representative. That is a separate matter from a commercial referral arrangement: where we earn a commission on a link, it is disclosed on the page carrying that link, as set out in section 12. Game names such as Powerball, Oz Lotto, Saturday Lotto and Weekday Windfall are trade marks of their respective operators, used on this site only to describe which draws each tool relates to.
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, or gambling advice. Number frequencies, "hot" and "cold" labels, and similar statistics describe the past, they do not predict or influence future draws, which are independent random events.
3. Age
Tools and content relating to lottery play are intended for adults aged 18 and over, consistent with the minimum age to play any Australian lottery.
4. Accuracy
We make a genuine effort to keep results, odds, and statistics correct and up to date, and we publish how each figure is calculated where it matters. Even so, we can't guarantee everything is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm winning numbers, prize divisions, and anything else that matters to you directly with the official operator before acting on it.
5. No warranty, limitation of liability
This site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including reliance on any figure, tool, or piece of content here, except where liability can't lawfully be excluded (for example under the Australian Consumer Law).
6. Your data
Game progress, streaks, and preferences are stored only in your own browser (localStorage), never on our servers, because we don't have any that collect it. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it abusively, misrepresent it as official, or use it for anything unlawful. We may restrict access for anyone who does.
8. Other sites
We link to official lottery operators and support services like Gambling Help Online and Lifeline. Those sites have their own terms and policies, which we don't control and aren't responsible for.
9. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest update. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
10. Intellectual property
The text, design, statistics, tools, and code on this site (apart from the trade marks and content of others noted throughout) are © 2026 Southern Barrel. You're welcome to link to us or quote a short passage with attribution; wholesale copying, republishing, or scraping our content or tools for another site isn't. Game names such as Powerball, Oz Lotto, Saturday Lotto, and Weekday Windfall remain the trade marks of their respective operators, used here only descriptively as covered in section 2.
11. Not a gambling service
This site does not facilitate, process, or accept any wager, bet, or ticket purchase, and holds no gambling licence of any kind. We describe what we do rather than offer our own reading of the law: the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth) is administered by the Australian Communications and Media Authority, and acma.gov.au is the right place to check the current position. Every generator, checker, and statistic on this site is informational only; buying an actual ticket happens entirely on the official operator's own site, directly between you and them.
12. Affiliate relationships
This site may link to third parties through affiliate links, licensed Australian lottery operators, Australian charity lotteries, general retail such as the Amazon Associates programme, or similar, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up or make a purchase through one, at no extra cost to you. Whenever that's the case, it's disclosed clearly and specifically at the point of the link, not just here. An affiliate relationship never changes the facts, statistics, or results reported anywhere else on this site; the two are kept deliberately separate. Any page that currently states it makes no recommendation is accurate as of today; if a specific commercial relationship is ever added to that page, the disclosure changes with it, at that time, in that place.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for any claim, loss, or cost arising from your own misuse of the site or breach of these terms, this doesn't affect any consumer guarantee that can't lawfully be excluded.
14. Severability
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands; we'd simply replace that part with something enforceable that keeps the same intent as closely as possible.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts of appeal from them. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to bring a claim where you live.
